Chance2 Mental Wellness and Recovery Hub Ghana Foundation Donates Medical Supplies to Konkonuru Community Health Center

The Chance2 Mental Wellness and Recovery Hub Ghana Foundation has made a generous donation of medical supplies to the Konkonuru Community Health Center in the Eastern Region of Ghana. This act of kindness is part of the foundation’s mission to promote mental wellness and improve healthcare delivery in underserved communities.

The donated items, which included essential medical supplies, were presented by the foundation’s president, Janet Symister Beckford. Speaking at the presentation ceremony, she explained that the foundation was originally established in Jamaica but has since expanded to Ghana to address critical healthcare needs.

“We understand the challenges faced by health facilities like this one, and we hope these supplies will help improve the services provided to the community,” she said. Janet further noted that the donations were mobilized with the support of Cornwall Enterprises Limited, a private company based in Jamaica. Additionally, Delta Airlines facilitated the free transport of the items from Jamaica to Ghana.

Dr. Mimi, Vice President of the Chance 2 Mental Wellness and Recovery Hub Ghana Foundation, also addressed the gathering. She expressed her joy in being part of the initiative, emphasizing that true success is not measured solely by financial wealth but also by the ability to give back to society. “We believe these items will be very useful to you in delivering quality healthcare to your patients,” she said.

Receiving the items on behalf of the health center, Augustina Adjuik, representing the Physician Assistant in charge of the facility, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Chance2 Foundation. “We are truly thankful for this support, and we assure you that these supplies will be used effectively to enhance the well-being of our patients,” she said. She also appealed to Chance2 and other benevolent organizations to continue supporting the health center to ensure sustained quality healthcare delivery.

Also accompanying the team were the Treasurer, Chief Trevor Lloyd Beckford and the Public Relations and Promotions Officer, Daniel Deladem Kisseih.

The donation marks another milestone in the foundation’s commitment to improving mental and general healthcare in Ghana.
