Background and Rationale
Menstrual hygiene is a crucial public health issue. UNICEF reports that 1 in 10 girls in Sub-Saharan Africa misses school due to lack of sanitary products and facilities. International Menstrual Hygiene Day, observed on May 28, raises awareness of these challenges.
Objectives
- Educate participants on menstrual health, debunking myths.
